WHAT ARE LIFELINE ACCENTS?
Lifeline Accents are the new semi-transparent trim colors from Perma-Chink to highlight the windows, doors, beams and trim on the exterior and interior of your log home.
Lifeline Accents is a water-based, breathable, acrylic latex finish that delivers extreme durability and longevity.
This finish is available in Interior and Exterior versions and is easy to apply in a simple two coat process.
Lifeline Accents gives your wood excellent water repellency as well as resistance to growth of mold and mildew.
WHERE SHOULD LIFELINE ACCENT COLORS BE USED?
Lifeline Accents are ideal for use to highlight entrance doors and garage doors. They can also be used to highlight beams, trim, gables, dormers, and shutters. Lifeline Accents are available in Exterior and Interior versions that can also be used on cabinets and furniture.
WHAT COLORS ARE AVAILABLE IN LIFELINE ACCENTS?
Lifeline Accents are available in 18 rich colors that allow the beauty of your wood to show through while providing the accent color that really sets off your log home.
IS IT NECESSARY TO USE A TOPCOAT OVER LIFELINE ACCENTS?
You will get best results when a Topcoat is used over Lifeline Accents. For Exterior applications use Lifeline Advance in Satin or Gloss as an exterior topcoat. For Interior applications use Lifeline Acrylic Satin or Gloss as an interior topcoat.
HOW IS LIFELINE ACCENTS PACKAGED?
Lifeline Accents is available in Exterior and Interior formulations.
Both products are packaged in one gallon jugs.
WHAT COVERAGE CAN YOU EXPECT WITH LIFELINE ACCENT?
Lifeline Accent is a two coat application product. On the first coat, coverage of 350 to 450 SF per gallon can be expected. On the second coat coverage will range from 600-800 SF per gallon. On resawn wood, coverage will decrease as there is more surface area to be covered.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO APPLY LIFELINE ACCENT COLORS?
Lifeline Accent is designed to be applied with an airless sprayer or a brush. On resawn wood or wood that has been media blasted always apply a coat of Prelude Clear Sealer first. Lifeline Accents should be stirred thoroughly before application begins. Stir the product regularly during the application process.
DO NOT APPLY LIFELINE ACCENT ON HOT SURFACES OR IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. The temperature range for Lifeline Accent application is between 40 degrees and 90 degrees F.
The product should always be back brushed in for optimum results and uniform color. Lifeline Accents should always be applied in thin coats. Wait for the first coat to dry before applying a second coat. Once Lifeline Accent has fully dried apply one or two coats of a clear topcoat.
For Exterior applications we recommend Lifeline Advance to enhance the beauty of the Lifeline Accent Colors. Lifeline Advance plays a significant role in protecting your wood from damage from water, mold and UV light. For interior applications we recommend a clear topcoat of Lifeline Acrylic Satin or Gloss
