What is Sikkens Cetol Maintenance?
Sikkens Cetol Maintenance is a premium non-pigmented exterior wood finish designed for use over previously Sikkens coated vertical surfaces, except SRD, (logs and wood siding) as a maintenance coat. Typically with maintenance coats of pigmented products such as Sikkens Log and Siding or Sikkens 2/3 Plus, the wood is further darkened. With a one coat application of Sikkens Cetol Maintenance, the wood will retain its same look and color. Once you apply Sikkens Maintenance RE you can't switch to a color application for future retreatments. You have to stay with the Clear Maintenance from that point on or strip it down to bare wood if you wanted to apply color again.
