Woodguard ITF Interior Wood Finish is a two coat, water based, acrylic finish for the interior of log and timberframe homes. The product is designed to highlight the wood grain on the ceilings, interior walls and trim. It is also well suited for use on tongue and groove paneling and ceiling liner, as well as unpainted doors and cabinets. The unique acrylic resin system provides a breathable, vapor permeable film that seals out moisture, dust, dirt, and household odors, including those coming from the fireplace. Woodguard ITF is available in clear and five additional interior wood tones.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING WOODGUARD ITF INTERIOR WOOD FINISH?

Woodguard ITF Interior Wood Finish protects your wood with a tough, mildew resistant, clear satin finish. Woodguard ITF can be cleaned with mild household cleansers, even those containing ammonia, as well as plain soap and water. Woodguard ITF Wood Finish is easy and safe to use. It dries fast and contains no ammonia or other harsh solvents. Woodguard ITF cleans up easily with warm sudsy water. Two coats of Woodguard ITF offers years of durability with a (low sheen) satin finish.

HOW DO YOU APPLY WOODGUARD ITF INTERIOR WOOD FINISH?

Woodguard ITF Interior Wood Finish is primarily designed for use in new construction. Apply to new, lightly sanded wood surfaces. Make sure all dirt, grease and dust have been removed prior to application. On existing homes, old finishes including wax, lacquer, and shellac should be removed prior to application. Stir well before using. Stir occasionally during use. Do not over apply. For best results do not apply Woodguard ITF at temperatures below 40°F. Apply a thin coat in the direction of the grain, working the material into the fibers of the wood. Brush, roll or spray application is suitable. Woodguard ITF Interior Wood Finish initially has a "milky" appearance, which then forms a crystal clear protective coating.

HOW MUCH COVERGE SHOULD I EXPECT?

With Woodguard ITF on the first coat you should expect coverage of approximately 400 square feet per gallon for smooth wood and 200 square feet per gallon for rough sawn wood. The second coat will cover 500 square feet per gallon on smooth wood and 300 square feet per gallon on rough sawn. We suggest that you wait at least 3 hours or until the wood is dry to the touch before applying the second coat. For the best possible finish we suggest a light sanding between coats Two coats are generally sufficient. Remove all dust before applying additional coats. Do not use steel wool.
