PAINT REMOVER WORK?
When applied
uniformly to an 1/8” to ¼” thickness ABR Citrus Paint
Remover penetrates through multiple layers of coatings. The
product will penetrate through one layer of paint or varnish
every 15 to 30 minutes. ABR recommends leaving the product
on until all paint layers have dissolved. Just scrape away
the dissolved residue and rinse the surface with a clean
sponge or scrub brush and clean water to remove excess ABR
Citrus Paint Remover Residue.
WHAT IS THE RIGHT ABR
CITRUS PAINT REMOVER FOR YOUR PROJECT?
ABR
Citrus Paint Remover Paste is a putty colored thick
paste primarily designed for furniture and antique
refinishing. It is ideal for use on intricate carvings,
moldings, pillars, furniture and antiques. The special paste
formula stays wet and active much longer than conventional
strippers. The product should be applied with a trowel or a
natural bristle brush. Coverage will range from 25-75 SF per
gallon.

Citrus Paint Remover Gel is putty colored gel
primarily designed to remove Oil and Latex paints and
finishes from interior and exterior walls as well as
finishes from log homes. This product should be applied with
a natural bristle brush or a roller. Coverage with this
product will range from 75-125 SF per gallon.
WHAT PRECAUTIONS
SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN USING ABR CITRUS PAINT REMOVER?
Fully protect all adjacent surfaces including vegetation
from coming in contact with ABR Citrus Paint Remover
When stripping interiors lay plastic sheeting on the
floor and cover with stacks of newspapers or cardboard
to absorb scraped residue.
Use only with adequate ventilation. Make sure there is
fresh air movement.
ABR Citrus Paint Remover is combustible. Keep away from
heat, sparks, flame and all other sources of ignition.
Eye protection is required when using ABR Citrus Paint
Remover. Use chemical splash proof goggles.
Avoid inhalation of fumes. If adequate ventilation can
not be maintained wear respiratory protection.
WHAT
APPLICATION TIPS IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF ABR CITRUS
PAINT REMOVER?
Only apply ABR Citrus Paint Remover to surfaces that are
free from dirt and oil.
Allow ABR Citrus Paint Removers to remain on the surface
until all paint and finish is dissolved.
ABR Citrus Paint remover will penetrate one coat of
finish every 15-30 minutes. Give the product adequate
time to work!
ABR Citrus Paint Remover Paste and Gel may sag if
applied to heavily over latex finishes. If sagging
occurs apply thinner coats and allow the product to dry
for an hour before applying a second coat directly on
top of the first coat.
ABR Citrus Paint Removers works slower in colder
weather.
Scrape away the dissolved residue and rinse with clean
water.
Use a scrub brush, a sponge, and clean water to remove
excess Citrus Paint Remover residue.
