HOW DO YOU APPLY NATURE'S EDGE WOOD FINISH?
Nature's Edge Wood Finish should always be applied to a wood surface that has had all mill glaze removed. LogFinish.com recommends removing mill glaze with either X-180 Weathered Wood Restorer or with Stain Prep Mill Glaze Away. Allow the wood to dry thoroughly before applying Nature's Edge. When a wood preservative such as Shellguard RTU has been used prior to applying Nature's Edge, please allow 3-5 days for the wood preservative to thoroughly dry before applying Nature's Edge.
Nature's Edge can be applied with an airless sprayer, brush or roller. When using a sprayer or roller always back brush Nature's Edge into the wood. Always apply Nature's Edge when rain is not expected for at least the next 24 hours.
Do not apply Nature's Edge Wood Finish in direct sunlight as it can cause the product to dry too quickly. Very quick drying prevents Nature's Edge from penetrating thoroughly into the wood. Nature's Edge is a 3 coat process. For best results apply the first coat of Nature's Edge and let it dry for 2-3 hours before applying the second color coat. Apply the clear topcoat the next day. The color of your finish will progressively deepen as additional clear top coats are applied.
Clean up is a snap with Nature's Edge - just rinse tools and equipment with soap and water.

WHAT WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE NEEDED TO APPLY NATURE'S EDGE?
Nature's Edge Wood Finish can be applied in temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid applying Nature's Edge in full sun as the product can dry too quickly prior to back brushing. In low temperatures it is important that the wood surface and the water molecules on it are not still froze. Nature's Edge will not penetrate into frozen wood. This wide temperature range significantly extends the application season, which could mean the difference between finishing your home on time and having to wait until the next season. It is very important to apply any wood finish within the manufacturer's recommended temperature range; otherwise, the finish may fail prematurely. After a rain storm wait at least 24 hours for your wood to dry before applying Nature's edge. Do not apply Nature's Edge when rain is expected within 24 hours.
