WHAT IS
OUTLAST WOOD SEAL CONCENTRATE?
Outlast Wood Seal is a semi-transparent stain
concentrate that has been formulated specifically
for preserving the beauty of exterior decks,
railings, and wood furniture. It is ideal for new
construction or existing wood decks, railings,
outdoor furniture that have been cleaned and
prepped. Outlast is the perfect blend of resins,
waterproofing agents, UV inhibitors and
semi-transparent iron oxides in a base designed to
stop the unsightly graying of wood. Just add four
gallons of Mineral Spirits to each gallon of Outlast
Wood Seal Concentrate and you are ready to stain
your outdoor wood.

HOW MUCH
AREA WILL OUTLAST WOOD SEAL COVER?
A one
gallon pail of Outlast that has been mixed with four
gallons of Mineral Spirits will cover 1000 SF of
outdoor wood with a single coat. The factory
recommends a two coat initial application of Outlast
so the net coverage of two coats of Outlast mixed
with Mineral Spirits is 500 SF of outdoor wood.
WHAT
COLORS IS OUTLAST WOOD SEAL AVAILABLE IN?
Outlast
is available in three colors. The color samples
shown below indicate Outlast applied to CCA treated
Southern Yellow Pine Decking.

HOW DO YOU
APPLY OUTLAST WOOD SEAL?
Never
apply Outlast Wood Seal without dilution. Mix each
gallon of Outlast concentrate with four gallons of
Mineral Spirits.

Prepare the wood for treatment by cleaning
thoroughly with X-180 Weathered Wood Restorer.
Use a pressure washer set between 800 and 1200
psi to remove deposits of mold and mildew. Allow
the wood to dry.

Dilute each gallon of Outlast Wood Seal
concentrate with four gallons of Mineral
Spirits. Mix thoroughly.

It
is important that Outlast be completely mixed
with Mineral Spirits. Use of a mixing blade on a
hand drill or similar apparatus is recommended.

Apply the diluted Outlast with a brush, roller,
or staining pad.

Although Outlast will not settle in its
concentrated state, it may settle after
dilution. During application stir Outlast
regularly every 15 minutes.

A
second coat of Outlast should be applied within
three to six hours depending on the heat and
humidity. Two coats of Outlast will ensure long
lasting beauty.

Allow to dry overnight before walking on decks
or using wood furniture.
WHAT
CAUTION STATEMENTS SHOULD I BE AWARE OF?
Avoid
contact with eyes as irritation may occur. FIRST
AID: In case of contact, immediately flush with
water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention
if irritation persists. Please refer to the MSDS for
more specific safety information. KEEP OUT OF THE
REACH OF CHILDREN. For spills, leaks or Medical

WHAT IS
THE BEST WAY TO MAINTAIN A DECK TREATED WITH OUTLAST
WOOD SEAL?
Apply Two Coats of Outlast the first year, then one coat every other year or so as needed. Atmospheric pollutants and ordinary abrasive foot traffic will leave dirt on deck surfaces. Rainwater alone does not wash such deposits away. After a consistent rain, squeegee the deck surface. (Note: On stubborn dirt areas use a mild dish detergent and water solution with a mild brushing action to remove dirt, and then rinse with water.) In the spring and fall wash your deck with X-180 Weathered Wood Restorer.
